Picture this…what If every affiliate in your local area was operating at a very high level, offering a premium product…and being paid accordingly (by charging what they’re actually worth)?

I know, doesn’t that sound awesome?!? Then, when someone new moved into your area looking to start CrossFit, the choice wouldn’t be about who charges more, who charges less, etc.. The conversation would be about location, branding and finding the box that feels most natural for that individual. Local affiliates wouldn’t be “competing” with each other by trying to undercut each others’ prices…

This would encourage everyone involved to Raise Their Game! After all, if you can’t rely on offering less (lower prices), you must figure out how to offer more (value).

Are you the only affiliate in your area in The Tribe? Are you the only Triber in your area that’s gone ALL IN?

That might seem like a good setup on the surface because it gives you an edge on your competitors. But it’s a myth that business is all about competition. Sometimes cooperation is the best strategy, especially with small businesses.

Success is not a zero sum game. By working together, clustered affiliates have more resources to provide for their client bases than if each affiliate struggles in isolation.

When you invite an affiliate near you to Raise Their Game, it’s not just a gift to that affiliate, it’s as much a gift to yourself because you’re surrounding yourself with a community of peers with the same standards.

You might be thinking, “but there are 10 affiliates in my local area…. what are the chances that I can get all of them to Raise Their Game?” Well, have you ever heard the Starfish Story?

This story has circled round in many versions, but here’s one version:

A young girl was walking along a beach upon which thousands of starfish had been washed up during a terrible storm. When she came to each starfish, she would pick it up, and throw it back into the ocean. People watched her with amusement.

She had been doing this for some time when a man approached her and said, “Little girl, why are you doing this? Look at this beach! You can’t save all these starfish. You can’t begin to make a difference!”

The girl seemed crushed, suddenly deflated. But after a few moments, she bent down, picked up another starfish, and hurled it as far as she could into the ocean. Then she looked up at the man and replied,

“Well, I made a difference to that one!”

The old man looked at the girl inquisitively and thought about what she had done and said. Inspired, he joined the little girl in throwing starfish back into the sea.

Is there one affiliate near you that you could make a difference for…and, in the process, Raise The Game of your local community? Who is going to be your starfish?
