Back in December of 2014 I hit my breaking point.

Struggling, stressed and nervous would be an understatement.

I had a BIG vision for my life and my gym, but something just hadn’t clicked yet.

I recently bought out my business partner and was finally ready to be out with the old and in with the new, as they say.

Anyone who’s bought out their partner or ended a partnership knows

that it’s not as easy as that to make the gym “yours”.

Not only did my membership drop to the lowest it had been since opening, but my business account was pretty much next to nothing after the transition.

So in that moment, I realized I had to do everything different than what I was doing.

The first order of change was that I had to actually be at my gym.

Where I am right now, this sounds absolutely absurd, but back then I NEVER stayed at the gym when I wasn’t teaching classes.

Thinking back on it, I’m not sure how that actually worked….oh wait…it didn’t.

The next set of changes had to do with completely re-vamping the gym, the brand, and re-establishing the positive vibes that were no longer present.

None of this was going to be easy, but I knew if I wanted to keep my doors open it was the only option.

So I woke up every day with the mindset that I needed to hustle…

I joined the Tribe, got to work and made shit happen.

Financial sacrifices were made, date nights were now spent at the gym re-organizing, the daily grind and actions I took moved me forward.

In a matter of 3 months I almost doubled both the members and the revenue.

I had a level of discipline and focus that I hadn’t had ever.  But I still wasn’t anywhere close to where I wanted to be.

Being part of the Tribe, I came across WBBC.

After my initial call with Maggie, I wasn’t exactly sure how I was going to front 10k to sign up, but this was the ‘thing’ I needed to get me closer to where I needed to be.

The ‘thing’ truly ended up being the ‘thing’. One thing they teach us in WBBC is to RAS.

Write down what you are/where you are/what you have become and FOCUS on that daily.

Well.. my RAS for months was John Burch.  Yes, Burch….I was partners with him.

He had no idea who the hell I was or that he was my RAS but I focused on that daily.

Fast forward….it’s September 2015 and guess what??

I am partners with Burch.

But my RAS and how it happened really isn’t the point of all of this.

It’s about discipline and what it really takes to be successful.

December – July was child’s play compared to what I do now.

And what I do now has taken me from making 10k a month to finishing out last month at 32k.

In part 2 of this blog post, I will lay out exactly what real discipline is and how you can use it to help grow your business just like I did.

Holly’s partnership with Burch has helped her gym more than double it’s Gross.
